About Seven Retreats
Seven's Mission
Seven Retreats exists to provide a safe, serious, and professionally held environment for people who are ready to do real inner work with ancestral plant medicines.
Our mission is to support guests in healing, self-discovery, personal responsibility, and meaningful transformation through traditional ceremonies guided by experienced indigenous maestros, careful preparation, medical screening, small groups, and grounded integration.
We are here for people working through trauma, grief, addiction, or major life transitions – and also for those seeking spiritual depth, self-knowledge, clarity, discipline, and a deeper relationship with themselves, life, and nature.
This work is not a quick fix, a spiritual performance, or a recreational experience. The medicine opens the door, but each person must choose to walk through it. Our role is to guide, protect, educate, and support the process with integrity, humility, and care.
We aim for each guest to not only have a powerful retreat experience, but to embody what they learn afterward – in their health, relationships, family life, work, choices, habits, and way of living.
The deeper purpose of Seven is that the change does not stop with the individual. When a person becomes more responsible, peaceful, conscious, and aligned, that change touches their family, their community, and the world around them.
Seven's Vision
Our vision is to protect, honor, and preserve ancestral plant medicine traditions by holding this work with the seriousness, respect, and responsibility it deserves.
We believe these medicines should not be commercialized, diluted, or used as another product in a culture of quick fixes, spiritual performance, and irresponsible practice. Seven Retreats stands for a different way: real maestros, real preparation, real safety, real integration, and real work.
We are committed to respecting and supporting the indigenous elders, maestros, families, and traditions that have carried this wisdom across generations. Our role is not to reinvent or perform these traditions, but to serve as a responsible bridge between those who carry the knowledge and those who are sincerely seeking healing, self-discovery, and a more conscious way of living.
Our vision is for Seven to become one of the most trusted ayahuasca retreat centers in Peru – not because we serve the most people, but because we serve in the right way.
We choose small groups over mass retreats. We choose consistency over rotating teams. We choose qualified maestros over false shamans. We choose safety over sales. We choose responsibility over spectacle.
Through this work, we hope to help people live more sane, peaceful, healthy, and responsible lives. We want guests to leave with more clarity, more discipline, more respect for life, and a stronger foundation for how they treat themselves, their families, their communities, and the natural world.
Our long-term vision is to contribute to a healthier future by helping people return to what is real: connection with nature, respect for tradition, emotional maturity, personal responsibility, freedom from destructive habits, and a way of life that can be passed on with dignity to future generations.

Erdinjo Pezo Bartra
Maestro (Master of Ceremony)
Maestro Erdinjo, a proud father, grandfather and great grandfather, was born and raised just off the Pisqui river about 40 minutes from the town of Contamana located deep in the Peruvian Amazon. .
Erdinjo's path with the medicine was initiated due to an accident. At 12 years old he faced an almost deadly encounter with an alligator. Erdinjo was left with severe injuries to his arm and leg. He received intensive treatment from the traditional doctors of his village. Using the abundant medicinal plants that are found in the amazon, they managed to heal his arm, reconstruct his leg and save his life.
While receiving treatment, Erdinjo's profound connection to the plants became very apparent. From this point forward, Maestro Erdinjo dedicated his life to studying the master plants and Mother Ayahuasca. At the age of 33, after 20 years of intensive training, he began attending to the public, providing traditional amazonian treatments for the ill of his village through Ayahuasca ceremonies and other intensive plant treatments. Erdinjo is now in his 60s - he has never stopped training and improving his mastery. He has dedicated his whole life to the study of the divine science and attending to the unwell.
